ABSTRAK


Hasil survei pendahuluan di Rumah Sakit Umum Sultan Sulaiman
Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai menunjukkan angka produktifitas masih belum
mencapai standar Departemen Kesehatan, belum pernah dilakukan evaluasi
kinerja perawat.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kinerja
perawat dengan mutu pelayanan keperawatan Rumah Sakit Umum Sultan
Sulaiman Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Jenis penelitian adalah korelasi dengan
pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen
internal yaitu seluruh perawat pelaksana ruang rawat inap sebanyak 70 orang dan
konsumen eksternal yaitu pasien yang telah dirawat selama 48 jam sebanyak 40
orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, dianalisis dengan uji chisquare.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja perawat berdasarkan
konsumen internal mayoritas 80 % baik dan berdasarkan konsumen internal 72,5
% kinerja perawat sedang, dan mutu pelayanan keperawatan berdasarkan
konsumen internal

menyatakan mutu pelayanan keperawatan sedang, dan terdapat hubungan
signifikan antara kinerja perawat dengan mutu pelayanan keperawatan Rumah
Sakit Umum Sultan Sulaiman Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai berdasarkan konsumen

internal dengan p value= 0,002 dan terdapat juga hubungan signifikan antara
kinerja perawat dengan mutu pelayanan keperawatan Rumah Sakit Umum Sultan
Sulaiman Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai berdasarkan konsumen eksternal dengan p

value= 0,01. Kinerja perawat merupakan salah satu faktor terpenting dalam
menghasilkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan yang memberi kepuasan bagi
konsumen sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi kinerja perawat secara terencana dan
berkesinambungan sehingga memotivasi perawat dalam memberikan pelayanan
keperawatan yang baik.

ABSTRACT
The preliminary survey at RSU Sultan Sulaiman in Serdang Bedagai
District shows that productivity rate has not achieved the standard of the
Department of Health and the evaluation on on nurses’ performance has not yet
been conducted so that the management does not know the nurses’ performance
and the staffs’ capability. The objective of the research was to find out the
correlation between nurses’ performance and the quality of nursing care at RSU
Sultan Sulaiman Serdang Bedagai District. The research used correlation method
with cross sectional design. The population was internal consumers that consisted

of 70 nurse practitioners in the patient wards and external consumers that
consisted of 40 patients who had been treated within 48 hours. The data were
gathered by distributing questionnaires and analized by using chi- square test.The
result of the research showed that based on nurses’ performance, the majority of
internal consumers were 80% good, based external consumers, 72,5%of nurses’
performance was moderate, 80% internal costumer stated that the quality of

nursing care was good, and 70% external consumer stated that the quality of
nursing care was moderate. The was significant correlation between nurses’
performance and the quality of nursing care at RSU Sultan Sulaiman in Serdang
Bedagai District based internal consumers at p value= 0,002 and was significant
correlation between nurses’ performance and the quality of nursing care at RSU
Sultan Sulaiman in Serdang Bedagai District based external consumers at p
value= 0,01.A nurses’ performance constitutes one of the important factors in
yielding the quality of nursing care which gives satisfaction to consumers so hat it
is necessary to evaluate a nurses’ performance regularly and continuosly so that
she will have motivation to give good nursing care.
