Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung
ampas kelapa yang difermentasi dengan Aspergillus niger dan ragi tape terhadap
karkas dan lemak abdominal kelinci rex jantan lepas sapih. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan di Rukun Farm Berastagi, pada bulan Juli-September 2016.
Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 6
perlakuan dan 4 ulangan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan pembanding ortogonal
kontras. Dengan menggunakan 24 ekor kelinci rex jantan lepas sapih dengan
rataan bobot badan awal 1012,14±126,67 g. Perlakuan terdiri ransum dengan
tepung ampas kelapa tanpa fermentasi (P0A : 10%; P0B : 20%), ransum dengan
tepung ampas kelapa fermentasi Aspergillus niger (P1 :10%; P2 : 20%), dan
ransum dengan tepung ampas kelapa fermentasi ragi tape (P3 : 10%; P4 : 20%).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan tepung ampas
kelapa fermentasi lebih baik dibandingkan yang tidak difermentasi dan perlakuan
dengan tepung ampas kelapa fermentasi ragi tape lebih baik dibandingkan
fermentasi Aspergillus niger terhadap peningkatan bobot potong (g), bobot karkas
(g), dan persentase karkas serta dapat menurunkan lemak abdominal (%).
Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan tepung ampas kelapa
fermentasi ragi tape dapat meningkatkan bobot potong, bobot karkas, dan
persentase karkas serta dapat menurunkan lemak abdominal pada level 10%.

Coconut Fermentation on Carcass and Abdominal Fat of Weaning Male Rex
Rabbit. Under supervised by R. EDHY MIRWANDHONO and SAYED UMAR.
The study aims to determine effect flour of dregs coconut fermentation
with Aspergillus niger and yeast against carcass of weaning male rex rabbit. This
research was conducted at Rukun Farm Berastagi from July to September 2016.
This research used Completely Randomize Design (CDR) with 6 treatments and 4
replications further analyzed by orthogonal contrast. With use 24 rex rabbit male
weaning with initial body weight 1012,14±126,67g. The treatments consisted of
diet with flour of dregs coconut without fermentation (P0A : 10%; P0B : 20%), diet
with flour of dregs coconut fermentation with Aspergillus niger (P1 :10%;
P2 :20%), and diet with flour of dregs coconut fermentation with yeast (P3 :10%;
P4 : 20%).
The results showed that the treatment with flour of dregs coconut
fermented were better than non fermented and treatment with flour of dregs
coconut fermented by yeast were better than fermented by Aspergillus niger can
be increase body weight (g), carcass weight (g) and carcass percentage (%) as
well as can reduce abdominal fat (%). The conclusion of this research that the
utilization of fermented dregs coconut by yeast can be increase slaughter weight,
carcass weight, and carcass percentage as well as can reduce abdominal fat at
the level 10%.
