In this investigation, a Kuarder - R i c h a d s o n reliability confidence w a s used t o
estimate t h e interval consistency reliability. I t i s statically u s e as o n e estimate o r
r e l i a b i l i t y o f t h e t e s t t h a t b a s e d o n t h e n u m b e r o f i t e m s i n t h e test, t h e m e a n s s c o r e s ,

F r a n k l e a n d W a l l e n ( 1 9 9 0 : 3 0 ) state that f o r research p u r p o s e a useful r u l e is that

reliability a t least 0.70 o r preferable higher.

3.8 Technique for Analyzing the Data
T h e technique o f a n a l y z i n g the data, the statistical m e t h o d was used t o find o u t
the influence confinement between t w o variables reading ability X a n d listening
s k i l l ( Y ) . T h e reporter o f the research also analyzed the result o f reading and listening
test b y u s i n g t h e f o r m u l a t o f i n d o u t the r e s u l t o f i n f l u e n c e b e t w e e n r e a d i n g a n d
listening. Beside t h e reporter o f the research used statically product a n d service
solution S P S S V e r s i o n 16.00 (Statistical Package for Social Science) t o analyze the
data statistically.
