CHAPTER IV ANALYSIS RESULTS

This chapter is a part where data are presented and analyzed based on justified methodology. From the data presentation, the researcher obtained the findings and discussed as well as addressed them explicitly to answer research problems. In addition, making links between findings and the aims of the research was essentially mentioned.

A. The Students’ Perceptions on Traditional Seating Arrangement in Public Speaking I Class

. To find out the students’ perceptions on the traditional seating arrangement while the lecturer was giving a lecture in Public Speaking I class, the researcher distributed the questionnaire, in the form of close-ended and open ended-questions. The total questionnaire sheets which could be analyzed were 63 sheets. The researcher only analyzed 63 sheets because not all of the students were present in those three classes. 1. The Description of Students’ Perceptions While the Lecturer was Giving a Lecture Based on the Questionnaires Distributed.

a. Close-ended questions

In close-ended questions, the researcher had six statements which were supposed to show what the students’ perceptions were. Questionnaire Result of the students’ perceptions on the traditional seating arrangement Close-ended questions Based on the questionnaire results above, most of the students had a positive perception on traditional seating arrangement in Public Speaking I class. Here, the researcher focused on the position where the students sat while the lecturer was giving a lecture using the traditional seating arrangement.
