5. KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN

5.1. Kesimpulan

Dari hasil pemeriksaan brusellosis menggunakan RBT, CFT dan I-ELISA terhadap 173 contoh serum sapi potong dan 62 contoh serum kambing potong yang berasal dari Jawa Timur, Jawa Tengah, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Jawa Barat, Jakarta dan Banten diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa : 1. metode CFT lebih sensitif dibandingkan dengan RBT dan metode I-ELISA lebih spesifik dibandingkan dengan CFT. Serum sapi dan kambing potong yang positif CFT berkorelasi positif dengan karakter protein Ig 2. protein-protein Ig pada serum sapi dan kambing potong yang positif dengan pemeriksaan menggunakan metode CFT dan I-ELISA memiliki berat molekul kelompok 175,150, 100, 75-50, 50, 50-35, 25, 25-15, 10 kDa A dan 225, 150, 100, 75-50, 50, 50-35, 35, 25, 10 kDa B. Keragaman protein tersebut mencerminkan tanggap atas infeksi alami, infeksi dini Ig G1, tanggap kebal dan karakter protein yang spesifik dari antigen pada daerah yang tidak vaksin.

5.2. Saran

Beberapa saran yang muncul dari penelitian ini adalah : 1. metode CFT dan atau I-ELISA yang peka dan spesifik merupakan metode yang dapat digunakan untuk pemeriksaan terhadap bruselosis pada serum sapi dan dan kambing; 2. serum positif brusellosis yang diperiksa dengan CFT dan I-ELISA selanjutnya diperiksa dengan metode elektoforesis, menggunakan teknik SDS PAGE, untuk menetapkan apakah karena infeksi alam atau vaksinasi. 3. perlu adanya kajian dan perubahan kebijakan dalam penerapan metode diagnosa Bruselosis yang dilaksanakan di Unit Pelayanan Teknis UPT Badan Karantina Pertanian.
