4.1. The Analysis of Data

In order to find out the result of the test, the writer applies the Standard Deviation SD rules. For this purpose, I need to tabulate the scores of each student firstly. While tabulating the raw scores of each student, I write down the correct answer with their scores in using personal pronouns as subject and object. Masoky Pratama 5 3 8 27 729 Total ∑ X =2015 ∑ 2 X =147789 After I have finished making the tabulation of the raw scores that can be achieved by each student, I can go to find out the standard deviation of the test’s result. SD = N 1 } . { 2 2 ∑ ∑ − X X N where, SD means standar deviation ∑ X means the total of correct answer N means the number of respondents ∑ 2 X means the Quadrate of the total score Universitas Sumatera Utara 28 So, SD = N 1 } . { 2 2 ∑ ∑ − X X N = 30 1 } 2015 147789 . 30 { 2 − = 30 1 4060225 4433670 − = 30 1 373445 = 30 1 611,10 = 20,37 = 20 rounded The calculation of mean is: X = N X ∑ = 2015 30 = 67,17 = 67 rounded After knowing the Mean and the Standard Deviation, then I calculated the coefficient of the reliability: Universitas Sumatera Utara 29 KR r = 1 − k k     − − 2 . 1 S k M k M = 1 30 30 −       − − 2 20 30 67 30 67 1 = 1 30 30 −       − − 2 400 30 37 67 1 = 29 30     − − 12000 2479 1 = 1, 03 1 – 0, 21 = 1,03 x 0,79 = 0,81 The calculation above shows that the reliability of the teat is 0,81. So, the reliability of the test is high. It is based on Arikunto 1986:93, the standard of reliability is: 0,00 – 0,40 = The reliability is low 0,41 – 0,70 = The reliability is significant 0,71 – 0,90 = The reliability is high 0,91 – 1,00 = The reliability is very high
