Hubungan Minat Belajar dan Kemampuan Baca (Readability) dengan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui keterkaitan strata akademik dengan
kemampuan baca (readability) dan minat belajar mahasiswa. Metode penelitian:
survei. Populasi dan samplig: populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa
Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor Bandung. Sampling
yang digunakan: judmental sampling dengan sampel (n=135). Lokasi penelitian:
Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor Bandung. Metode analisis: statistika (uji
Crammer dan analisis tabel). Hasil penelitian: mahasiswa strata akademik rendah
memiliki hubungan asosiasi signifikan dengan kemampuan baca application read.
Mahasiswa strata akademik menengah memiliki hubungan asosiasi signifikan
dengan kemampuan baca critical read. Mahasiswa strata akademik tinggi
memiliki hubungan asosiasi signifikan dengan kemampuan baca in depth read.
Prestasi akademik juga memiliki hubungan asosiasi dengan minat belajar, seperti:
perhatian di kelas, minat terhadap materi kuliah, memiliki dosen favorit, perilaku
membaca menjelang ujian, orientasi pada kesuksesan, orientasi rajin kuliah, dan
kegiatan organisasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan baca (readability)
memiliki hubungan asosiasi dengan prestasi akademik, artinya kemampuan baca
(readability) berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia.
Sedangkan minat belajar hanya sekedar menumbuhkan minat baca atau sekedar
mengorganisasikan (menanam) kegiatan membaca dalam diri sendiri.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of research: determine relationship of strata academic with
readability and student interest of study. The method of research: survey. The
population and sampling of research was Faculty of Communication Universitas
Padjadjaran’s students. Sampling: judgemental sampling with sampling (n=135).
The method of analysis: statistics (Crammer test and table analysis). Results of
research: the study is low strata academic students have a significant association
relationship with readability application read. The study is middle strata
academic students have a significant association relationship with readability
critical read.The study is high strata academic students have a significant
association relationship with readability in depth read. Achievement have a
association with interest of study like as: attention in class, interest and captured
materials of lecture, have a favorite lecturer, reading behaviors in time before
test, orientation to success, orientation to college, active organization. This
suggests that the ability to read have association relationship with academic
achievement, it means the ability to read affect the Development of Human

Resources. While interest in learning just a foster interest in reading or simply
organizing (plant) reading in them selves.
