PENENTUAN DOSIS INSEKTISIDA NABATI
EKSTRAK AIR DAUN PEPAYA ( Carica papaya L.)
TERHADAP LARVA BUAH JERUK
ABSTRAK
LatarBelakang: Penggunaan insektisida sintetik secara terus-menerus dapat
berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan. Diperlukan
alternatif pengendalian.Daun pepaya(Carica papaya L.) dapat dikembangkan
sebagai insektisida nabati memiliki kandungan bahan aktif enzim papain, alkaloid,
flavonoid, polifenol, kuinon, danterpenoid.
Tujuan: mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak air daun pepaya terhadap kematian larva
buah jerukdan mengetahui dosis efektif dari ektrak air daun pepaya yang tepat
sebagai insektisida nabati.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental. Pengujian ini
menggunakan larva buah jeruk terdiri dari 8 kelompok yang masing-masing
berisikan 10 ekor larva yang diberi sipermetrin (kontrol positif), kontrol negatif
(deterjen ditambah akuades), 14.062,5 ppm, 28,125 ppm,56.250 ppm, 112.500
ppm, 225.000 ppm, 450.000 ppm, dilakukan pengamatan selama 24 jamdan tiap
kelompok dilakukan 5 kali pengulangan serta dicatat kematiannya. Data dianalisis
statistik dengan metode ANOVA (analisis variansi) dan dilanjutkan dengan
ujiTukey.Analisis statistik ini menggunakan program SPSS (Statistical Product and
Service Solution)versi 17.
Hasil: Hasil pengamatan terhadap kematian hewan menunjukkan pada konsentrasi
14.062,5 ppm dan kontrol negatif (deterjen ditambah akuades) tidak terjadi
kematian larva buah jeruk. Pada konsentrasi 28.125 ppm terjadi kematian larva
buah jeruk sebanyak 1 ekor larva, konsentrasi 56.250 ppm sebanyak 5 ekor larva,
konsentrasi 112.500 ppm sebanyak 6 ekor larva dan pada pemberian sipermetrin
(kontrol positif), konsentrasi 450.000 ppm dan 225.000 ppm sebanyak 10 ekor
larva. Penelitian ini menunjukkan kematian hewan dimulai dari konsentrasi 28.125
ppm.
Kesimpulan: penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa daun pepaya (Carica papaya L.)
mempunyai dosis efektif sebagai insektisida nabati terhadap larva buah jeruk yaitu
28.125 ppm.

ABSTRACT
Background: The use ofsynthetic insecticides on an ongoing basis can have a
negative impact on human health and the environment. Required control
alternative. Papaya leaves(Carica papaya L.)can be developedas aninsecticide
active ingredient vegetable contains the enzyme papain, alkaloids, flavonoids,
polyphenols, quinones, and terpenoids.
Purpose: determine the effectof water extract papaya leaves mortality on larvae
citrus fruit and Effective doses of water extract papaya leaves right as natural
insecticide.
Method: This research uses experimental method. This test uses the larvae citrus
fruit consists of 8 groups, each containing 10 larvae were given sipermetrin
(positive control), negative control (deterjen and aquadest), 14.062,5 ppm, 28.125
ppm, 56.250 ppm, 112.500 ppm, 225.000 ppm, 450.000 ppm, observationfor 24
hours and each group performed five repetitions and recorded his death. Data were
analyzed statistically by using ANOVA (analysis of variance) followed by Tukey
test. This statistical analysis using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution)
version 17.
Result: The observation of the death of the animal showed that concentration of
14.062,5 ppm and distilled negative control (deterjen and aquadest) was not found
the death of larvae citrus fruits. At a concentration of 28.125 ppm found the death
larvae citrus fruitas much as 1 larvae, the concentration of 56.250 ppm as much as
5 larvae, the concentration of 112.500 ppm as much as 6 larvae and the granting
sipermetrin (positive control), the concentration of 450.000 ppm and 225.000 ppm
as much as 10 animals larvae. This study showed the animal's death starts from
28.125 ppm.
Conclusion: this study proved that papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) has effective
dose as a natural insektiside on larvae citrus fruit at of 28.125 ppm.
