group design. This research had t aken place at Parasit ology and Micology Facult y of
Medicine Sebelas Maret Universit y Surakart a. The sam ple w as 32 Wist ar whit e rat s.
The dependent variable was t he SGPT level of whit e rat s and t he independent
var iable was t he dandang gendis leaves ext ract . The whit e rat s were divided int o 4
groups: negat ive cont rol gr oup ( KK 0 ) , posit ive cont r ol group ( KK 1 ) , first t hreat ed
group ( KP1 ) , and second t hr eat ed gr oup ( KP2 ) . KP1 had been given 30 m g/ 200 gr
th
BB dose and KP2 had been given 60 m g/ 200 gr BB dose for 14 days. At 11 – 13
days, t he w hit e rat s from KK1 , KP1 , and KP2 had been given 291.6 m g/ 200 gr BB
th
dose of paracet am ol. At 14 t h day, rat ’s blood had been t aken from orbit alis sinus.
The dam age of t he liver cell had been m easur ed wit h SGPT laborat ory t est . The dat a
had been analyzed wit h one way ANOVA t est t hen wit h post hoc t est ( α = 0.05) .
Re sult s: The highest rat e of SGPT levels w as KK1 , follow ing KP1 , KP2 , and t he
lowest w as KK 0 . Oneway ANOVA t est resuls show ed a significant difference am ong
t he four gr oups wit h p = 0.000. Post hoc t est result s showed a significant difference
bet w een KK0 – KK1 ( p = 0.003) and KK 0 – KP2 ( p = 0.019) whereas bet ween KK0 –
KP1 ( p = 0.204) , KK1 – KP1 ( p = 0.885) , KK1 – KP2 ( p = 0.077) , and KP1 – KP2 ( p
= 0.932) had no significant difference.
Co nclusio n: Giving dandang gendis leaves ext ract was not significant t o r aise t he
SGPT level of whit e rat induced by paracet am ol. Raising dandang gendis leaves
ext ract doses was not significant t o raise it s hepat oprot ect or effect .
