ABSTRACT

the Credibility of Public Relations Staff Kemnakertrans RI with the Attitude
Journalists to Information Institutions: a correlational study with the subtitle on
Press Conference in Public Relations Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration
of the Republic of Indonesia. Main mentors Drs. H.Wawan Setiawan, M.I.Kom
companion and mentor. Dr. Evi Novianti, S.Sos., M.Si.
This study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between the
credibility of the public relations staff Kemnakertrans RI with cognitive, affective,
and conative journalists to information institutions.
The research method used is correlational research method with
Spearman Rank correlation as data analysis techniques. As for the support in this
study were obtained through the results of the deployment questionnaires,
observation, interviews and literature study. This study used a random sampling
technique is simple. The sample in this study are 32 people consisting of
journalists in Kemnakertrans RI. The results showed that the hypothesis was
accepted. Credibility Kemnakertrans PR staff have a strong relationship with the
cognitive, affective and conative journalists to information institutions.
Conclusion This study shows the credibility of public relations staff have
strong relationships with trust journalists to information institutions. Expertise PR
staff have a strong enough relationship with feeling like journalists to information
institutions. Things PR staff have a strong enough relationship with the support of
journalists to information institutions. The power of public relations staff have a
strong enough relationship with the support of journalists to information
institutions.
Suggestions in this study is, first should be the ability, experience, and
skills as a communicator of public relations staff in the press conference to be
improved and adapted to the image agencies. Second, the public relations staff as
a communicator in the press conference should uphold honesty in any information
relating to institutions. Third, public relations staff as communicators in a press
conference in response to a question or resolve a complaint needs to be increased
again, to avoid things that negatively impact image institutions, in order to satisfy
the journalists, so the level of confidence in the higher institutions.

Wartawan terhadap Informasi Lembaga: dengan subjudul Studi korelasional
mengenai Press Conference di Humas Kementerian Tenaga Kerja dan
Transmigrasi Republik Indonesia. Pembimbing utama Drs. H.Wawan Setiawan,
M.I.Kom dan pembimbing pendamping Dr. Evi Novianti, S.Sos., M.Si.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan
antara kredibilitas staff humas Kemnakertrans RI dengan aspek kognitif, afektif,
dan konatif wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan adalah metode penelitian korelasional dengan korelasi Rank Spearman
sebagai teknik analisis data. Sedangkan untuk menunjang dalam penelitian ini
diperoleh melalui hasil penyebaran angket, observasi, wawancara dan studi
kepustakaan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu
acak sederhana. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 32 orang yang terdiri dari
wartawan yang ada di Kemnakertrans RI. Hasil menunjukan bahwa hipotesis
diterima. Kredibilitas staff humas Kemnakertrans memiliki hubungan yang kuat
dengan aspek kognitif, afektif dan konatif wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan kredibilitas staff humas memiliki
hubungan yang kuat dengan kepercayaan wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Keahlian staff humas memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat dengan perasaan suka
wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga. Atraksi staff humas memiliki hubungan
yang cukup kuat dengan dukungan wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Kekuasaan staff humas memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat dengan dukungan
wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Saran dalam penelitian ini yaitu, pertama sebaiknya kemampuan,
pengalaman, dan keterampilan staff humas sebagai komunikator dalam press
conference agar ditingkatkan dan disesuaikan dengan image lembaga. Kedua, staff
humas sebagai komunikator dalam press conference harus menjunjung tinggi
kejujuran dalam setiap memberikan informasi yang berkaitan dengan lembaga.
Ketiga, staff humas sebagai komunikator dalam press conference dalam
menanggapi pertanyaan maupun menyelesaikan komplain perlu ditingkatkan lagi,
untuk menghindari hal-hal yang berdampak negatif terhadap image lembaga, guna
memuaskan wartawan, sehingga tingkat kepercayaan terhadap lembaga semakin
tinggi.

Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan kredibilitas staff humas memiliki
hubungan yang kuat dengan kepercayaan wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Keahlian staff humas memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat dengan perasaan suka
wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga. Atraksi staff humas memiliki hubungan
yang cukup kuat dengan dukungan wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Kekuasaan staff humas memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat dengan dukungan
wartawan terhadap informasi lembaga.
Saran dalam penelitian ini yaitu, pertama sebaiknya kemampuan,
pengalaman, dan keterampilan staff humas sebagai komunikator dalam press
conference agar ditingkatkan dan disesuaikan dengan image lembaga. Kedua, staff
humas sebagai komunikator dalam press conference harus menjunjung tinggi
kejujuran dalam setiap memberikan informasi yang berkaitan dengan lembaga.
Ketiga, staff humas sebagai komunikator dalam press conference dalam
menanggapi pertanyaan maupun menyelesaikan komplain perlu ditingkatkan lagi,
untuk menghindari hal-hal yang berdampak negatif terhadap image lembaga, guna
memuaskan wartawan, sehingga tingkat kepercayaan terhadap lembaga semakin
tinggi.
