6. Designing the instructional materials
After selecting the teaching learning activities and listing subject content, the writer started designing the materials. At this stage, the writer
developed 10 units of task-based instructional materials. The designed materials may be seen in appendix see appendix 6.
7. Evaluation and revision
By conducting evaluation, the writer knew whether the designed materials were well developed or not. In this phase, the writer distributed
the designed materials to six respondents as the evaluators. After the designed materials were evaluated, the writer revised the designed
materials.
B. Survey Research
After designing the materials, the writer distributed them to the participants. In this case, the writer conducted survey research to know the evaluation of the
designed materials. The writer obtained the data of the survey research by giving questionnaires to two English teachers of SD Kanisius Baciro Yogyakarta, two
English teachers from other elementary school, and two English lecturers of Sanata Dharma University.
1. Description of The Participants

The questionnaire was used to obtain data of the evaluation of the designed materials. In the questionnaire, the participants gave the evaluation
by choosing the representative number ranging 1 to 5 as the measurements points. The measurements points are:
5 = strongly agree with the statement 4 = agree with the statement
3 = doubt with the statement 2 = disagree with the statement
1 = strongly disagree with the statement The result of the evaluation was clarified in the table below:

found several significant suggestions which were useful for revisions and improvement. They were as follows:
1 A participant suggested that the writer should rearrange the topics starting
from topics about the learners self. 2
A participant suggested that the writer should check the task instruction. The task instruction should be clear, so that the students know what to do.
3 A participant suggested that the writer should substitute the pictures.
4 A participant suggested that the writer should change the unit title ‘Pet
Animals’ into ‘Pet’ only since ‘Pet’ meant animals already. PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI
