4. Listing the subject content

In this phase, the writer presented the lists of what would be available in each unit of the designed materials. In general, the subject content consisted of five types of activities and one additional activity for certain topics. They were Come with Me, Action, Take It, Go Go Go, Memory, and Project. The lists of subject content could be clarified as follows: 1. Come With Me The activities in this section aimed to arouse the students’ attention to the topic and gather their knowledge related to the topic because the questions were related to their daily experiences in the real life. PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI 2. Action This section presented games to help the students recognize the vocabulary, phrases, and useful expressions related to the topic. 3. Take It The main purpose of this phase was to help the students to have deep understanding in using vocabulary, phrases, and useful expressions related to the topic. 4. Go Go Go In this section, the students had to practice the task given using vocabulary, phrases, and useful expressions with their classmates. The activities were aimed at helping the students to use the expressions related to the topics in the situation which represented the real life. 5. Memory This section gave the students to conclude, review and memorize what they have learnt. 6. Project This was an additional activity in which the students had the opportunity to express their creativity related to the topic discussed, for example making poster, making instructions, and writing daily activities.

5. Selecting teaching learning activities and the instructional resources

6. Designing the instructional materials

After selecting the teaching learning activities and listing subject content, the writer started designing the materials. At this stage, the writer developed 10 units of task-based instructional materials. The designed materials may be seen in appendix see appendix 6.
