It was proved from 35 students, 28 students liked English 80 and 7 students disliked English subject at school 20. The reasons why the students liked or disliked English subject at school would be found out in the questions number 2 and 3. The answer to number 2 explained that from 28 students, 13 students 46 liked English subject there were many interesting vocabulary while 12 students 43 liked English since they were enjoy to speak in English. As a comparison, there were 11 students 39 liked English because the teacher could explain fluently and 10 students 36 liked English since the lesson was easy to understand. There were only 9 students 32 who were interested in English because of interesting pictures. Meanwhile the result of the answer number 3 showed that from 7 students, 4 students 57 disliked English subject because it was difficult to speak in English. It was fewer than 3 students 43 who said that there were many vocabularies which they did not know the meaning. There were also 2 students 28 disliked English subject because the lesson was difficult to understand. There were 10 students 28 chose studying using media. However, there was no student who answered that the lesson was boring. Based on the result of answers in numbers 2 and 3, the writer concluded that it was necessary to develop suitable instructional materials which could encourage the students’ motivation and help them learning English successfully. Moreover, question number 4 was intended to know what kind of activities liked by the students in learning English based on task-based approach. From 35 students, there were 24 students 68 who chose sharing experiences, 20 students 57 chose listing vocabulary, 19 students 54 chose comparing, 19 students 54 chose ordering and sorting objects and 17 students 48 chose problem solving. The students also suggested other activities such as games and having dialogue. Related to the type of method used in teaching learning process, from 35 students, there were 33 students 94 liked games and 28 students 80 liked group discussion. There were also 22 students 63 who liked sharing experiences and 14 students 40 liked picture story. There were only 4 students 11 who liked presentation. The students suggested other method like listing vocabulary and translation. Furthermore the question number 6 was aimed at knowing what kind of techniques preferred by the students to help them learn English well. From 35 students, there were also 28 students 80 liked studying in pairs. Twenty four students 68 preferred studying in small groups and 18 students 51 preferred studying outside classroom. There were also 11 students 31 who chose the teacher explained and the students listened to the teacher. However, there were 8 students 23 chose studying inside classroom and 5 students 14 chose studying individually. It showed that the students could learn easily when they worked in pairs or in small groups. There were also other techniques PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI recommended such as the teacher explained clearly and gently, reading English book, and the teacher gave questions after the teacher explained. The last question was aimed at listing the ten interesting topics. From 35 students, there were 27 students 77 chose Animals, 26 students 74 chose Parts of the Body, 26 students 74 chose Family, and 24 students 68 chose Holiday. There were 23 students 66 chose Shopping, 23 students 66 chose Transportation, 22 students 63 chose Food and Drinks, and 21 students 60 chose Daily Activities. There were also 19 students 54 chose Telling the Time, 19 students 54 chose Hobbies, 11 students 31 chose Jobs, and 10 students 28 chose People. Five students 14 chose Health and 4 students 11 chose Places. The students also suggested one new topic that was fruits.
