Answer : GPEC Company
b. Why do you choose to work on this project?
Answer : because GPEC company invite me to work on this project
c. How do you feel when you come to this project?
Answer : nothing special, just same feeling.
d. Have you ever imagined or learned about the environment and culture of local
people? Please explain.
Answer : As i know Indonesian people have religion just it.
e. What do you think about environment, is it weel suited on you?
Answer : everything is good, very good
2. Interact with local society
a. Are there any Indonesia people work in your division?
Answer : yes, there are many Indonesian workers in here such as , marino,
safarudin, doni, irwanto. b.
How often do you get interact with them? In what things?
Answer : almost every day in work hour.
c. If you can’t Speak bahasa so how do you communicate with them?
Answer : By English language and by the translator.
d. What are yours problem to speak bahasa Indonesia?
Answer : for me, it’s hard to learn Indonesia language, so since the first time
I working here, I always use English, and we have translator to translate what we want to talking about.
e. Have you ever interacted with local people? When?
Answer : yes I ever, usually once a day after we finished our work and going
back to the mess . f.
What kind of activities that you do with society?
Answer : just talking with them, sometimes I buy something like food and the
others thing, and sometimes I go to the swimming pool. g.
Have you ever joined to the event that related with local culture?
Answer : yes I have, maybe a month ago, my civil colleague was marriage
and I am come to his event.
3. Culture Shock
a. Did you have any worries when you work here for the first time? In what
terms?
Answer : no I don’t have worries.
b. Since you work on this project, have you ever had some sickness? What kind
of sickness that you ever afflicted?
Answer : yes , I’ve got fever because the environment so hot.
c. Are there anything that you don’t like from the behavior of local people?
Answer : nothing, I like all of them.
d. Have you ever refused to interacted with the local people?
Answer : no, I never
e. Have you ever felt that local people refuse you?
Answer : no, never .
f. Since you have been working here, how many times you go back to China?
Answer : 4 times
g. Do you have family in Tiongkok?
Answer : Yes I have, they live in Changsu province
