E. Objective of the Research
The objective of the research was to know whether there is any influence of using
audio visual media towards students‟ pronunciation mastery of the eighth grade at the second semester of SMPN 01 Rebang Tangkas Way Kanan in the academic year of
20152016. F. Uses of the Research
The researcher purposed to give some uses in English teaching field. The uses of the research were:
1. To give an information to the teachers and students about the influence of using
audio visual media towards students‟ pronunciation. 2.
To give motivation to the students about learning English, especially in pronunciation learning by using audio visual media.
3. As additional information for further research.
G. Scope of the research
The researceher limited this research as follows:
1. The subject of the research
The subject of the research was the eighth grade students of SMPN 01 Rebang Tangkas Way Kanan in the academic year of 20152016.
2. The object of the research
The object of the research was the influence of using audio visual media towards students‟ pronunciation mastery.
3. The place of the research
The place of the research was at SMPN 01 Rebang Tangkas Way Kanan.
4. The time of the research
The research was conducted in the second semester in the academic year of 2015
2016.

A. Frame of Theories
1. Teaching English as a Foreign Language
There are many languages in the world, so we need the same language for
communication in over the world. English is a global or international language. The global status of English is partly due to the number of people who speak it. It
estimates that in 2,000 there were approximately 1,500 million speakers of English worldwide.

It has been used by almost all countries in the world either as native, second or foreign language.

Using English as a tool of communication will help
many nations in the world to convey information each other.
Foreign language is a language studied in an environment where it is not the primary vehicle for daily interaction and where input in that language restricted.

However, it is seen as a priority, as the most important of the foreign languages to be taught.
