Hal ini bermakna pada tiga pasang persilangan tersebut terjadi peningkatan jumlah tanaman lebih dari 90 terhadap tetua terbaiknya dan 100 terhadap rata-rata kedua tetua. BEP 01 x BEP 12 mempunyai nilai heterosis 103.01 tetapi heterobeltiosis 45.61. Hal ini bermakna tidak selalu nilai 45 heterosis tinggi diikuti oleh nilai heterobeltiosis tinggi dan sebaliknya tergantung pada nilai tetua yang digunakan pada persilangan. Terdapat empat persilangan yang mempunyai heterobeltiosis tertinggi Tabel 29. yaitu BEP 12 x BEP 10 148.4, BEP 12 x BEP 11 169.6, BEP 06 x BEP 04 104.85, BEP 08 x BEP 10 101.14. Hal ini bermakna empat persilangan menghasilkan keturunan yang mempunyai nilai bobot buah per tanaman mengalami peningkatan lebih dari 100 terhadap tetua terbaiknya. Tabel 29.
