4.3. Findings
After analysing all the data contain meaning shift, it is found that there are meaning shifts in the translation. All of the meaning shifts occur as the influence of
the different socio-cultural between the script writer and the translator of the subtitle. Then we will classify them based on the kinds of the meaning shift.

This kind of shift occurs because there is a moment when the word that has the right equality in SL is not found in the TL. For instance, the SL
has general meaning and the equal word does not refer to the general meaning but to specific meaning.
Another way to make the meaning shift is by giving additional information or explanation in TL. In other words, the SL is clearer than the
TL. Such meaning shift is found in two data of this analysis, they are data number 9 and 16.

shifts. The shifts are made by a refinement of language in which the translator implicates the words or phrase that have not only slangs but also such
negative, filthy, and vulgar meaning contained in SL by using another words or sentence that more polite and appropriate with culture in TL. The translator
also eliminates certain ideas in which the translator does not translate a part of the sentences.
