CHAPTER V
CONCLUSION AND RECCOMENDATIONS
This chapter consists of two parts. The first part is about the conclusion of the research. The second part provides some recommendations related to this study for
the students, the English teachers and for the future researchers.
A. Conclusion
There is one research problem in this research. It is about the students’
perceptions on the video projects in speaking class. In this research, the research problem is answered by distributing questionnaires and doing interviews. Some
theories of the video project and perception were used to create the questionnaires. The questionnaires and interviews are implemented to the sixteen students XI Social
Two in SMA 1 Kasihan. There were sixteen participants for the questionnaires and three participants for the interviews.
The teacher’s contribution in the class also supports students’ positive perception toward the video project in speaking class. In the class, the teacher
already used some videos as one of the learning and teaching media. Before the students creating the video project, the teacher also gives clear instructions. The
teacher shows how to make good biography texts and how to make it into videos. It helps students to give the best effort of their projects. According to the interview

results, the students need more feedback from their teacher so that they know their mistakes and their weakness. By knowing their mistakes and weaknesses, they will
be able to overcome their difficulties. Most of the students have positive perceptions on the video projects. They
think that video project trains their speaking skill. They are able to overcome their difficulties in speaking English because they can do their self-reflection. They
become more confident in speaking English after creating video project. It means that video project can be used as one of the teaching media i
n the students’ speaking class.
B. Recommendations
The researcher provides some recommendations for some parties. The recommendations are for the English teacher, the students, and also the future
researchers.
1. For English Teacher
English teachers need to give more attention to the students’ difficulties in
learning language. Every student has their own difficulties. It is better to give them detail feedback and comments from their works. They also need to be given more
appreciation so they will be motivated in doing their projects. PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI

2. For Senior High School Students
The students need to keep practicing regularly. The senior high school students can use a video recorder to record their performances in delivering their
speeches can help them to train their speaking skills because they can see their own performances. By videotaping their performances, they are able to overcome their
weaknesses, strengths and their mistakes.
3. For Future Researcher
According to the results of this research, most of the students have positive perception toward the video projects in their speaking class. This research is expected
to inspire the future researchers to conduct the same field about the use of video project in speaking class. The future research can conduct a study of the use of a
video project in the other classes such as listening class or reading class. PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI
