researcher to find standardized reading test which contained lexical collocation in its passages.
Last, another problem that the researcher found was limited access to look for the relevant studied needed. The reason was that there were few researchers in
Indonesia who studied about collocation. In addition, the relevant studies that discussed collocation knowledge and reading comprehension particularly in terms
of the Indonesian educational context were difficult to be found. As a result, most of the similar studies discussing the two variables were found in other countries
setting.

CHAPTER V CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
A. Conclusion
Based on the research findings in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between collocation knowledge and reading
comprehension of the fourth semester students of Department of English Education of Syarif Hidayatullah State University of Jakarta in academic year
20152016. The relationship between the two variables is found at the 99 level of confidence p 0.01 with the value of r = 0.474. The finding reveals that the
relationship between the variables is in the medium or moderate level. Similarly, the significance of t contribution reveals that the result was significant. The score

B. Suggestions
Based on the conclusion above, it can be conveyed some suggestions that go to:
1. Teachers For teachers, it is suggested to give students the exposure of collocation as
much as possible because the exposure of collocation will be an encouragement and will help students to comprehend the text. Therefore, teaching collocation can
be given by explaining the definition of collocation, using them and applying them in daily activity, so the students become familiar with collocation in the text.
2. Students For English language learners, it is suggested to enrich their knowledge and
comprehension through the acquisition of collocation if they want to improve their reading comprehension. Collocation can be found in many English sources
like books, magazines, newspapers, journals, television, songs, advertisements, etc., so they can be familiar with collocation. The more they have knowledge of
collocation, the better they comprehend reading texts. 3. The Next Researchers
According to the result of study, it is found that some students still have less collocation knowledge. Therefore, it is suggested to next researchers to teach them
collocation in reading. Remembering that collocation gives contribution in comprehending the text, therefore it is suggested to teach collocation effectively
and interestingly to increase their skill in reading comprehension. In other words, next researchers can try to find the effectiveness of teaching collocation towards
reading comprehension. Hopefully this suggestion can be beneficial for the next researchers.
