research. The students showed good improvement in pronunciation after watching the movies. The students learnt the correct pronunciation from the
native speakers in the movie. The movies could give an understandable example to learn pronunciation. Besides, using movies in the classroom could increase
students‟ interest in following the lesson.
B. Recommendations
Recommendations consist of three parts; that is recommendations for English teachers, students and further researchers.
1. For English Teachers
It is important that teachers should be creative in designing the materials and teaching media in order to avoid monotonous atmosphere in the classroom.
Moreover, using interesting media can engage students‟ attention toward the lesson and it will make the students understand the lesson easily. Using movies in
classroom can be the alternative way to create new atmosphere whilst learning. From the movies, students can learn the pronunciation, the way people speaking
and also enriching their vocabulary. However, the teachers should choose the movies based on the material and
the level of difficulty. It would be better if the teachers can find a movie with clear pronunciation, so that the students will recognize it easily.
2. For Students
Knowing that senior high school students like watching movies to spend their time, they can learn from the movies, so they do not only enjoy the stories.
They can find movies that support the setting for the language, like in DVD. They can set the subtitle into English and try to recognize the pronunciation.
Using movie can be the good way to learn both pronunciation and speaking skill since movie gives real example of the way native speakers using the
language in conversation. Moreover, watching movies can build their sense of language. They will be accustomed with the use of the language in oral
communication.
3. For Further Researchers
Looking from the result of this research, using movies in classroom could help the students to learn pronunciation. The researcher hopes that the actions can
be implemented in other places to help the other students in learning English pronunciation. Maybe, the further researcher should consider the movies the
interesting story, clear pronunciation and the length of the movies before implement it in the classroom.
