B. TUAS
1. Tujuan Percobaan:
Setelah melakukan kegiatan percobaan ini diharapkan anda dapat:
a. Menjelaskan manfaat tuas.
b. Menentukan keuntungan mekanik (KM) pada tuas.
2. Alat dan Bahan:
a. Penggaris dengan ukuran 30-100 cm.
b. Statif/penyangga/menggantung penggaris.
c. Benang secukupnya.
d. Beban 10-200 gram masing –masing satu buah.
e. Klip kertas sebagai pengganti beban.
3. Cara Kerja
a. Susun penggaris dan statif. Seperti gambar 4.16 pada buku modul
praktikum IPA di SD. Gantungkan penggaris dengan lengan lengan
panjang sehingga dalam keadaan setimbang. Anggaplah titik (0) berada
di tengah tengah penggaris (misal panjang penggaris 30 cm, maka titik
sumbu pada angka 15)
b. Gantungkan beban 100 gram di lengan kiri (A) dan beban 20 gram pada
lengan kanan (B), atur kedudukan penggaris supaya tetap dalam keadaan
setimbang.
c. Catat jarak OR dan OE pada tabel 4.8 di lembar pengamatan di akhir
modul praktikum IPA di SD
d. Ulangi langkah (b) dan (c) untuk melengkapi tabel 4.8. tersebut.
