William Wilberforce was the most vocal parliament member who strove against the slavery trade and war. Introduction of the characters of William Wilberforce
marks the beginning session of the story of this movie. At the time, it was in 1797. The story jumped back to talk about Wilberforce’s struggle fifteen years
earlier before 1797. He was 21 years old when he became a new member in the House of Commons. He was the representative of Yorkshire. He decided to fight
against the slaves trade. He had some colleagues who supported him, they were; William Pit, Thomas Clarkson, John Newton, Lord Charles Fox, Hannah Moore,
James Stephen, Ouladah Equiano, Henry Thornton, and Barbara Spooner.
