Abstract
Background: Whit e Soybean ( Glycine m ax) Milk Ult ra High Tem perat ure ( UHT) is
pot ent ial t o prot ect gast er because it cont ains flavonoid. This st udy aim ed t o
invest igat e t he prot ect ive effect of whit e soybean m ilk UHT on m ice’s gast er due t o
aspirin . Higher dose of t he m ilk reduces t he dam aged on gast ric m ucous induced by
aspirin
Met hods: This was a labrorat ory experim ent al research wit h post t est only cont rolled
group design conduct ed in in Hist ology Laborat ory of Sebelas Maret Universit y. The
sam ples w er e t hirt y five m ice divided int o 5 gr oups. Negat ive cont rol group ( KN)

was given norm al food and aquadest , posit ive cont rol group ( KP) was given aspirin
dose 2,275 m g/ 20g Body weight ( W) , dan first t reat m ent group ( P1) was given
cim et idine dose 0,78 m g/ 20g W second t reat m ent group ( P2) and t hird t reat m ent
group ( P3) was given soybean m ilk UHT dose 0,7m l/ 20 g W and 1,4 m l/ 20 g W. All
t reat m ent s for KN, KP, P1 , P2, P3 was given in 10 days. Aspirin was given t o KP, P1
, P2, P3 wit h dose 2,275 m g/ 20g weight of m ice on day 8, 9 and 10. t o evaluat e
t he level of dam age based on hist ologic appearance, gast ric st aining w as
perfor m ed using Haem eos.
Result s: Kruskal- Wallis t est r esult showed significant result am ong four gr oups.
Mann- Whit ney showed significant result for KN com par ed t o KP,P1,P2 , P3 and KP
com pared t o P1, P2 and P3 ; w hile P1 com pared t o P2, P3 and P2 com pared t o P3
had no significant result .
