Analisis Preferensi dan Pengaruh Karakteristik Konsumen terhadap Jumlah Konsumsi Beras di Kecamatan Medan Deli
ABSTRAK
Poppy Amanda Sari Nasution (120304088) dengan judul skripsi “Analisis
Preferensi dan Pengaruh Karakteristik Konsumen terhadap Jumlah
Konsumsi Beras di Kecamatan Medan Deli” di bawah bimbingan ibu
Dr. Ir. Salmiah, M.S sebagai ketua komisi pembimbing dan ibu
Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S sebagai anggota komisi pembimbing.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik konsumen beras di
Kecamatan Medan Deli, menganalisis preferensi konsumen terhadap atributatribut beras (jenis, kepulenan, aroma, daya tahan, harga, bentuk beras, kemasan
dan lokasi pembelian) di Kecamatan Medan Deli, menganalisis pengaruh
karakteristik konsumen terhadap jumlah konsumsi beras di Kecamatan Medan
Deli dan menganalisis hubungan preferensi konsumen dengan jumlah konsumsi
beras di Kecamatan Medan Deli.Daerah penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja
(purposive) dengan alasan daerah ini memiliki jumlah penduduk terbesar di Kota
Medan.Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode analisis
deskriptif, metode perhitungan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), metode regresi
linear berganda, dan metode Chi-Square dengan alat bantu SPSS 17.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan konsumen beras di Kecamatan Medan Deli
memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda, baik itu dari segi usia, pendapatan,
jumlah anggota keluarga, kondisi kesehatan, maupun pendidikan. Preferensi
konsumen terhadap atribut-atribut beras pada setiap tingkat pendapatan
menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan puas sampai dengan sangat puas.Karakteristik
konsumen beras berpengaruh nyata secara serempak. Hanya usia dan jumlah
anggota keluarga yang berpengaruh nyata secara parsial terhadap jumlah
konsumsi beras. Terdapat hubungan yang nyata antara kepulenan dan kemasan
dengan jumlah konsumsi beras, sedangkan atribut lainnya tidak memiliki
hubungan yang nyata.

ABSTRACT
Poppy Amanda Sari Nasution (120304088) with the title “Analysis Preference
and the Influence of the Characteristics Consumer Against the Amount of
Consumption of Rice in the District of Medan Deli” under the guidance of Dr.
Ir. Salmiah, M.S as the chief of the commission guidance and Dr. Ir. Tavi
Supriana, M.S as the member of the commission guidance.
This research aimed to analyze the characteristics of rice consumers in the
district of Medan Deli, analyze the consumer preference on the attributes of rice
(type, fluffier, fragrance, durability, price, form of rice, packaging and location of
purchase) in the district of Medan Deli, analyze the influence of consumer
characteristics to the amount of rice consumption in the district of Medan Deli
and analyze the correlation between consumer preferences with the amount of
rice consumption in the district of Medan Deli. The research area determined by
purposive with the reasons this area has the largest population in the Medan City.
The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis, calculation
Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), multiple linear regression and Chi-Square
methods with SPSS 17.
The results show that the consumers of rice in the district of Medan Deli has
different characteristics, both in terms of age, income, quantity of family part,
health, and education. Consumer preference on the attributes of rice at every
income level indicates the level of satisfaction satisfied to very satisfied.
Characteristics of rice consumers real effect simultaneously. Only age and
quantity of family part partially have the significant effect to the amount of rice
consumption. There is a real correlation between fluffier and packaging with the
amount of consumption of rice, while other attributes no have real correlation.
