increase students’ learning and also stimulate students’ understanding in mastering English more.
d. The model of teaching and learning activities
Teacher provided guides and strategies to assist the students in comprehending materials through presentation of topic and tasks from subject
matter being taught. The activities in teaching-learning activity enabling students to comprehend the materials through English either written or orally. Based on
the observation and interview, the teachers used presentation both from the teachers and from the students, group discussion, and by internet channel.
“Kalau pembelajarannya kita sudah pakai ICT. Jadi setiap mengajar, saya selalu menggunakan power point. Siswa juga
sudah membawa laptop jadi kadang kita juga belajar lewat internet, misalnya kita buka web edukasi. Selain itu kita juga
ada diskusi, seperti yang mbak lihat kemarin, siswa saya beri tugas untuk diskusi kemudian untuk dipresentasikan di depan
kelas secara berkelompok kemudian didiskusikan secara bersama satu kelas. Presentasinya juga dalam bentuk power

Teacher CS stated that in conducting teaching-learning activity, he always used ICT. He also asked the student to present materials that have been
discussed before. Beside that, he sometimes conducted teaching learning activity

through internet channel. As the same as teacher CS, teacher Ht did almost the same models.
“Kalau materinya praktek, ya kita praktek. Kalau di kelas yang teori, itu saya harus slalu menggunakan power point. Dengan
adanya power point itu kita lebih praktis, bisa saya persiapkan dari rumah, mungkin saya buat animasi jadi akan lebih menarik
dan labih bisa menerangkan apa yang dimaksud disitu, bahkan dengan adanya power point itu anak akan lebih mudah
menerima materi jika dibandingkan dengan kita yang cuma ngomong di depan kelas. Kita juga adakan diskusi. Ketika saya
menerangkan lewat power point, kemudian anak saya suruh diskusi tentang materi yang ada di power point itu. Selain itu
juga pembelajaran saya juga lewat internet. Jadi anak saya beri tugas kemudian pengumpulannya lewat internet, dikirim ke e-
mail saya, jadi walaupun saya tidak bisa mengajar, misalnya sedang ada di Jakarta mengikuti seminar, saya masih bisa

The model of teaching-learning activities used in this program deal with behavioral theory. Behavioral theory finds out how external, environmental
stimuli cause overt or observable learner behavior and how modifying a learner’s environment can change behavior. In this theory, there are some educational
practices that can be used to increase learning. The way the teacher presented the material like the use of power point media is used to increase learning. The
regulation in carrying out the Designated International Standard School which state that in implementing the school must use multimedia facilities in which each
student is to have hisher own computer Lap Top in everyday teaching and learning activities is in accordance to the approach of the behavioral theory, that

is, computer-assisted instruction CAI. Computer-assisted instruction CAI refers to the use of computers to present programmed instruction or to otherwise assist
learners with specific learning tasks. Many different kinds of CAI programs are available, and most require learners to engage in lots of drill and practice.
It can be concluded that in teaching activities, the teacher provided interesting activities that made the students interested in joining the teaching-
learning process. In teaching, the teachers not only explained the materials all the times, but also asked the students to have their own presentation so the students
not only learned by listening their teachers but also learned by themeselves.
