Ikan Tongkol Alergenisitas Ekstrak Protein Sarkoplasma dan Miofibril

Kemampuan ekstrak protein dari ketiga sampel untuk mendeteksi IgE spesifik pada serum penderita alergi makanan laut menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak ini cukup sensitif dan berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai isolat alergen dalam diagnosis alergi, seperti uji tusuk atau SPT skin prick test. Hasil immunoblotting ekstrak protein ikan tongkol, kerang hijau dan udang jerbung memperlihatkan adanya komponen protein yang bersifat alergenik terhadap 5 serum subyek alergi A, B, H, L dan P. Komponen protein yang menyebabkan reaksi alergi pada tiap-tiap individu berbeda-beda. Penggunaan untuk tujuan diagnosis berupa uji tusuk, ekstrak protein dapat digunakan langsung tanpa harus mengisolasi komponen alergennya.

5.2. Saran

Perlu dilakukan modifikasi teknik ekstraksi protein sarkoplasma dan miofibril sehingga diperoleh rendemen ekstrak yang lebih tinggi. Perlu dilakukan kajian lebih lanjut mengenai sekuen asam amino penyusun protein yang diidentifikasi sebagai alergen. Selain itu, untuk dapat digunakan sebagai isolat alergen, ekstrak protein ini perlu diproduksi dalam jumlah besar dan perlu diujikan terlebih dahulu pada pasien alergi oleh dokter.
