CHAPTER IV RESEARCH FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION
This chapter discusses the findings of the research based on the gained data. The discussion would pay attention to two points based on the research
questions, namely the first, a nalyzing the course participants’ expectations by
joining the English course held by the school, and the second, the way a communicative English course design using credit-based modular approach
facilitates the course in answering the expectation.
A. Research Findings
This section presents the findings of the research. The main goal of presenting the research findings is to show what the writer has already got from
the research’s data collection. It is also meant to give real picture of what had been happening during the data collection phase. The research findings section
will cover four smaller sub-sections, namely the background of the English course held by SMA St. Fransiskus 1 Jakarta, the expectation of the students of
SMA St. Fransiskus 1 Jakarta, t he factors which influence the course participants’
expectation and a communicative English course using credit-based modular approach in answering the expectation of the students of SMA St. Fransiskus 1
Jakarta, repectively.
