The Evaluation of River Pollution Industrial Pollution Status

90 instance Figure 55 shows the input of effluent standard following the rules of Governor Decree No. 61999 for Integrated Textile Industry only 10 parameters. The parameters can be added, deleted or edited according to the regulations. Figure 55 . Choosing the Parameters

4.8.5 Evaluation and Analisys

4.8.5.1 The Evaluation of River Pollution

1 Evaluation of River Pollution Status Using PI Method Pollution Index PI method can be used for calculating the pollution status of river. According to Figure 56, the result shows that in January 2005, S. Cilamaya had PI 3.57 which means that the status of pollution is lighty polluted cemar ringan. 91 Figure 56 . Calculating of River Pollution Status using PI Method 2 Evaluation of River Pollution Status Using Storet Method By using Storet Method, the evaluation of river pollution can be calculated. Figure 57 shows calculating of river pollution status using Storet method, where in this case in 2005, S. Cilamaya River Class is 3 had a total score of -24. It could be concluded that this river was moderately polluted cemar sedang. Figure 57 . Calculating of River Pollution Status using Storet Method 92 3 Chart of River Water Quality The chart of river water quality is a result of comparison between ambient parameter and river water quality standard as shown in Figure 58. 4.8.5.2 Industrial Pollution Status

The pollution status of industry can be evaluated by comparing between the value of measurement and the value of quality standard BMABMAL. Using the criteria, we can decide whether it complies or does not complay with the BMABMAL Kep- 51MenLH101995. If does not comply, there might be several criteria, e.g. lighty polluted cemar ringan, moderate cemar sedang or strong cemar berat. Figure 59 shows the time series data for several measured parameters P4, P5, P6, which are compared for the quality standard. 93 Figure 59 . Evaluation of Industrial Pollution The chart of industrial waste-water quality is a result of comparison between effluent and wastewater quality standards. Some samples or industrial wastewater pollution status for several industries are presented in Figure 60. Figure 60 . Waste-water Pollution Status of PT. KTSM 94
