It was nearly 80 of all written sentences in this type. More specifically, this study also found out that eleven of twenty four participants obtained “very good,” while five participants obtained “good,” leaving “fair” and “poor,” each of which was obtained by four students. Even, four participants of those obtaining “very good” obtained an excellent result with zero mistakes. From the result, the writer could state that students’ mastery on complex sentence type one is relatively good enough.

4. Students’ mastery on complex sentence type two

Three participants of those thirteen even made zero mistakes, getting excellent “very good” grade. Then, four students obtained “good” and three students obtained “fair”. Again, four students obtained “poor” while more than half of all participants obtained relatively satisfying results.

The number was 76.5 of all sentences written. Even though at glance, this percentage is lower than that of the previous types of complex sentences, only two students of twenty four obtained “poor”. Exactly half of the students obtained “very good” while three students obtained “good”. No participant made zero mistakes in this type of complex sentences. Then, the number of students who obtained “fair,” which was only seven, became a considerable numbers of minorities. Yet, overall, students’ mastery on this type of complex sentence is good enough.
