B. Recommendations

After presenting the conclusions of the research, the researcher recommends several things related to this research. The recommendations are intended for the English Language Education Study Program students, English Language Education Study Program lecturers and future researchers.

1. For English Language Education Study Program Students

This research provides some suggestions for the students of the English Language Education Study Program, especially in Sanata Dharma University. The students are often to do group presentation project in their learning process that is assigned by their lecturers nowadays. It is recommended that in doing group presentation project, the students should give more active contribution in their groups as well as learn on their own. 2. For English Language Education Study Program Lecturers

Lecturers become one of the essential parts in a teaching and learning process in the university. Nowadays, lecturers often assign their students a group project like discussion and presentation. It is known that the project is intended to make the students learn by themselves. The students can learn with their friends together. Moreover, it is also hoped that the students can learn more independently because they need to find information on their own and process the knowledge. Based on the research findings, to make the students become more independent in learning through doing group presentation project, the researcher recommends that the lecturers should give more attention to their students. It would be better if the lecturers provide peer feedback for the students to maintain student s’ cooperation in group. Additionally, the lecturers can also instruct each student to give evaluation of their friends ’ work and contribution in group. After presentation is finished, the lecturers can ask each student to give point or mark to their group members on a piece of paper. The names of each member according to their groups are written in the papers and it would be submitted. Lastly, the lecturers can tell and remind their students that it is allowed to have consultation on their group project.
