During the months of the disaster, the Company was on the ground providing aid to victims in the
province of Yogyakarta. The Company via YOPB and with the support of staf and their families,
distributed donations, provided free medical treatments and opened public kitchens serving 500
meals a day to residents of eight villages afected by the disaster. Physical aid was provided in the
form of food, medicines, clothing, blankets, tents. A special team was formed to survey community
needs, and supervise and coordinate the relief efort.
Community Empowerment YOPB is determined to help disadvantaged
communities become self-suicient and improve their skills. It does this by combining skills-training
programmes with capital goods and startup loans.
Company Training Policies a. Salon Business
YOPB provides training for communities on how set up and run small beauty salon businesses and
provides them with salon equipment.
b. Small Tailor, Bag-making Business YOPB trains individuals how to start and run small
sewing and bag production businesses using household waste as a primary raw material. It also
provides startup loans to businesses.
In terms of infrastructure, an important Trio programme has been to train villagers how to drill
eicient groundwater wells. This has been carried out in various locations across Indonesia using the
theme “Oke Go Green”.
Environmental Awareness Preservation YOPB is involved in raising community awareness
about the beneits of environmental protection and preservation.
A key policy has been to plant 1,050 trees in the Jakarta area to anticipate the efects of erosion
and looding caused by global warming and to provide cool shaded areas in Jakarta city. The
programme was carried out in conjunction with the Jakarta provincial government.
Appreciating our Partners CSR is a critical component of the Company’s
environmental awareness and will remain our priority via YOPB in the years to come. We would
like to thank our donors for the support they have given to YOPB over its four years of operations, in
the way of donations, equipment, manpower and facilities. With their help, formerly disadvantaged
communities are realizing their potential to become fully ledged participants in the Indonesian
economy. Selama terjadinya bencana, Perseroan hadir
memberikan bantuan kepada para korban di provinsi Yogyakarta. Perseroan melalui YOPB dengan
dukungan staf dan keluarga mereka, mendistribusikan sumbangan, memberikan pelayanan kesehatan gratis
dan membuka dapur umum menyediakan 500 nasi bungkus per hari kepada penduduk delapan desa yang
terkena bencana. Bantuan diberikan dalam bentuk makanan, obat-obatan, pakaian, selimut, tenda
serta mengirimkan dokter dan relawan. Sebuah tim khusus dibentuk untuk mensurvei kebutuhan para
korban, serta mengawasi dan mengkoordinasikan penyampaian bantuan kemanusiaan tersebut.
Pemberdayaan Warga YOPB bertekad untuk membantu masyarakat kurang
mampu agar mereka lebih trampil dan sanggup mandiri. Untuk itu selain menyelenggarakan kursus
ketrampilan, yayasan ini juga menyediakan modal dan kredit untuk memulai usaha.
Pelatihan yang diselenggarakan oleh Perseroan a. Usaha Salon Kecantikan
YOPB mengadakan pelatihan bagi warga tentang kiat memulai dan menjalankan usaha salon kecantikan.
Yayasan juga menyediakan perlengkapan salon.
