Research Method Learners` beliefs about autonomy in language learning

professional services, b development of support facilities and resources for educational functions including other support resources, c utilization and protection of academic resources for a variety of consultation systems to support academic functions, d guidance, development, and utilization of a variety of educational thoughts resulting from research studies, e coordination of planning, guidance, development, and utilization of facilities, experts, and other academic resources in accordance with the needs for the implementation of education and professions, f planning of academic quality, g improvement of academic quality, h controlling and audit of academic quality, and i monitoring and evaluation of academic quality. IEDQA YSU has nine centers, i.e. i Center for Quality Assurance, ii Center for Curriculums, Instructions, and Learning Resources, iii Center for Services of Field Practicum Program and Field Work Practicum, iv Center for Educators and Educational and Non- educational Personnel, v Center for University Courses, vi Center for Languages, vii Center for Character Education and Culture Development, and viii Center for Career Development, ix Center of Scientific Periodical Development. As an institute in the university that is obliged to disseminate research results and a variety of scientific ideas, besides managing nine centers, IEDQA YSU also publishes three types of publication. These are scientific journals Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan and Jurnal Pendidikan Karakter and a popular scientific magazine WUNY Warta Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Independent Language Learning Center ILLC is located on the third floor. This ILLC was established in 2013. During the first year there are only few learners who actually know and visit the place. Then now after almost two-year of the existence of the ILLC, many learners has become its member and it seems like it has become their favorite place to find English resources. It has hundreds of story books, resource books, and journals. It also provides multimedia facilities like television that connected to international channels, a home theater, computers, and audio equipment. ILLC service is open in work hour from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. During the service hour, learner can visit this place for free. The staffs are some learners volunteer, English Instructor and English department lectures. The staffs‟ jobs are to help users in using the equipment, and in finding the resources the users needed. The place of the research was chosen since the research were working in the same place and it made the data collection more feasible during the working hour. 2. Samples The samples in this research were selected using simple one-stage cluster sample. According to Ahmed 2009 in this sampling technique the researcher should list all the clusters in the population, and from the list, select the clusters –with simple random sampling SRS strategy. All units elements in the sampled clusters are selected for the survey.
