e. Get ready to revise
Get ready to revise provides an opportunity for students to revise their writing
after getting corrections from their peer. After that, the students are asked to submit their writing to the teacher.
f. Study the words
Study the words is the post-activity of the meeting. In this section, students are
asked to do some tasks related to words. The words are taken from the material in each unit. The activities can be matching, making sentences, finding synonym,
guessing words, translating.
5. Selecting Learning Activities and Resources
Various activities are arranged in the unit. Most of the activities in the pre- activity are designed to help students in getting the idea. So, it focuses more on
discussion, telling experience, etc. The activities in this section are brainstorming, word mapping, free-writing, peer discussion. Whilst-activity is done by writing,
getting peer feedback and revising. Before, the students are also asked to read texts to get clearer example of the materials. The post activity provides students
with some activities to learn vocabulary. The activities could be making sentences, matching, finding synonyms, etc.
In order to create successful teaching learning activities, the writer needs some instrument resources to facilitate. The writer adapted some examples of text from
books and internet which are considered suitable with the topics.

6. Evaluating the Materials
This step was done by evaluating the materials. The materials design evaluation is conducted by distributing questionnaires to the English teacher of
grade VIII Student of SMP Institut Indonesia Yogyakarta. It aims to measure whether the materials design is appropriate, relevant, and success. Based on the
suggestions given, revisions and improvements were conducted. After all, the
final version of the writing instructional material was made. B.
The Findings of the Designed Instructional Materials Evaluation
The questionnaires were distributed in order to obtain feedback from the respondents. The feedback would be used to revise the designed instructional
materials. The description of the respondent and also the results of the evaluation are presented in this part.
1. The Description of the Respondents
The respondents of the second survey were two English teachers of SMP Institut Indonesia
and three English lecturers of the English Education Study Program of Sanata Dharma University. They gave judgments whether the
designed materials is accepted or not. The description of the participants is presented in the following table:

From the data above, there were 2 English teachers and 3 English lecturers who gave evaluation on the proposed designed materials. Two of the English
teachers are S1 graduates and three of the English lecturers are S2 graduates.
2. Data Presentation
