4.2.1 Developing Preliminary Product

This part presents the process of developing the iconic learning model in ICE Class Level 2. The framework of this step has been discussed previously in chapter 2. First, the researcher designed the interface of the portal. The ICE portal can be accessed in the address: http:www.iceportal.tk . Front page would appear when the users browsed the address. The home page consisted of the LOGO of Duta Wacana Christian University, the web description, Video Links, and some widgets requested by the students. The content of ICE Level 2 Moodle Learning Model is presented in the following table. To get into the course, the users should log in first. If they were not verified or registered as the participants, the students should do the registration and enrollment processes first. If the students had enrolled as the participants, they could type their username and password to get into the portal. The students could choose the course and topic that they want to study. The students can also download the resources and use the features offered in the portal. They could do the assignment and quiz online then submit them directly. The students could have some trials and finally submit their best scores into the system. The researcher then developed a flowchart of the ICE portal using Moodle Learning Model. The content and the flowchart are presented in Figure 4.12. 116 Figure 4.12 Content and Flowchart of ICE Portal using Moodle Learning Model 117
