a. The Discussion of the Designed Materials

Based on the results of the questionnaire, the designed materials were good and acceptable because the total of percentage between 73 up to 100. However, the designed materials still needed revision based on the respondents’ evaluation, comments, and feedback. b. Respondents’ Comments and Suggestion on the Designed Materials

In the materials evaluation questionnaire, the writer also asked the respondents to give comments, feedback, and suggestions on the designed materials. Generally, the respondents stated that the materials are suitable, interesting, and relevant to be applied for the fifth grade students of elementary school. The designed materials also provided some exercises to support the students’ understanding in English. Those exercises could make the students more active in learning process. Moreover, the materials were also well designed to give positive suggestions and positive lessons to the students. The materials were also designed in line with Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan KTSP. However, some advice, suggestion, and comments were given by the respondents to improve the designed materials. There were six points of suggestion from the respondents. 1 The activities in some units are too many. There would be limited time to apply those activities. 2 There were no exercises at the end of the unit as a test to measure the students’ understanding. 3 The activities had not presented suggestopedia method. 4 Some instructions were not clear. 5 The session of the each activity was confusing. They did not match to the syllabus. 6 The pictures of the designed materials were not contextual with Indonesian background.
