human involvement, the actions violated law code, and there were evidences of the crimes.
5.2 Implication
Novel is one of teaching media which is appropriate to be applied in the classroom. Since English is the foreign language for Indonesian students, it could
help them to learn English in an interesting way. By reading the novel, the students are able to enhance their critical thinking. Indirectly, they would be able
to improve their reading and writing skills.
However, as teachers, we should consider the novel selected. The novel should be appropriate to students‟ level and ages. For high school students, it
would be better to choose novel which providing moral value. However, Zero Day is more appropriate to college students. Therefore, the researcher considers this
novel in Prose class in English Language Education Study Program.
5.2.1 Implication in Teaching Prose
Even though Zero Day is a thriller-misery novel, but it can be implemented in Prose class. This novel contains of interesting plot which can grab
students‟ attentions. However, this genre of novel is more appropriate to college students. In order to make it clearer how to apply this novel in the classroom, the
researcher provides the procedure of teaching below.

In this part, the researcher is going to give some suggestions. These suggestions are refered to the future researchers and the lecturers of English

The writer realizes that to choose this novel is a big deal. We must think critically
