Kelsea argues for her people while Lady Andrews insists to recover the Mort Treaty. Kelsea wants to stop sending the slave for Mortmesne which is the main course of the treaty. She does not want to see more people suffer from the Treaty. On the contrary, Lady Andrews are helpless defending her land on the countryside of Tearling. She and most of the nobles are going to lose their properties. Kelsea thinks that property is an object that is affordable in the future. She also thinks that the life and the rights of her people are more important than Lady Andrews and the No bles’s properties. This is the reason that Kelsea has shown the moral value of justice. She does not want to sacrifice her poor people only for properties. She wants to save the poor from losing their life because of the Treaty and she wants to treat them equally with the nobles. On the other hand, not only the nobles who are losing their properties, Kelsea is also losing more than they are. Kelsea will lose the respect of their people and she will lose more of her people.
