method in their classroom, because Contextual Teaching and Learning can give more spirit for student in learning activity, therefore, the teacher can give score for student not only from test but also from their activity, strategy, creativity during teaching and learning process. After that, with CTL method the students can develop their skill individually and cooperatively with their friends. Therefore, they do not afraid to solve the difficulties or problems in learning activity. The improvement of students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text could prove from by the improvement of students’ score. The result of pre-test, posttest I and posttest II showed a significant improvement. Based on the explanation above, the writes concluded that the Classroom Action Research has done successfully.

b. The Result of Post Observation

The writer has taken the observation result after the implementation of the Classroom Action Research, this result of post observation to support the implementation of Classroom Action Research. From the post observation, the teacher and the observer have known whether the Contextual Teaching and Learning method in reading comprehension of descriptive text was successful or not. In this case, the writer and the observer collaboratively discuss how far this method can impr ove the students’ reading comprehension. From the data observation in implementation of CAR showed that the students can improve their reading comprehension of the material and characteristic of descriptive text. They could motivate to learn raeding English using this method.

c. The Result of Questionnaire

The post- questionnaire was conducted to know about the students’ response after learning reading descriptive text through Contextual Teaching and Learning. The questionnaire was given to the students in the second year of VIII-3 class on Thursday, September 23 th 2010. This questionnaire has five questions.
