(datum number 3) The example above is found in the novel telling about the day when Greg wrote something in his Diary. The proper name Tuesday in ST is translated into Kamis. It is grammatically incorrect in TT because Tuesday in ST should be translated into Kamis in TT. It is not accurate. Kamis is equivalent with Thursday in ST. But, because the respondents only read the proper name in TT without knowing what the real message of ST that want to be delivered by the writer, they remains to consider that this translation is natural. It is because the word Kamis is familiar to them. They usually use that word in their daily life when they want to mention the fifth day in calendar in TT (Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia, 1989). It becomes the reason why this translation is acceptable.

Example 3: ST

TT

: Malangnya, satu-satunya permainan yang bisa kumainkan di sana

hanyalah balap mobil dan yang sejenisnya.

because they usually use that word to mention the third person who is related to their speech. The word –nya is variant of ia or dia (Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia, 1989). When the translator uses this third person pronoun, the readers does not feel that it likes translation. It sounds natural and it is acceptable.
