ABSTRAK

Good Governance merupakan proses penyelenggaraan kekuasaan negara
dalam melaksanakan penyediaan public good and service disebut governance
(pemerintahan/kepemerintahan) sedangkan praktek terbaiknya adalah „‟good
governance‟‟ (kepemerintahan yang baik). Good Governance yang diterapkan di
dalam suatu instansi pada akhirnya akan mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja. Untuk itu

good governance yang diterapkan oleh organisasi merupakan faktor yang amat
penting dan perlu diterapkan dengan baik dan benar sehingga kepuasan kerja
pegawai dalam menjalankan tugasnya terhadap organisasi dapat semakin tumbuh.
Penerapan good governance oleh organisasi Pemerintah Daerah akan optimal
pencapaiannya apabila setiap organisasi/instansi memperhatikan kepuasan
pegawainya dalam upaya menerapkan prinsip-prinsip good governance tersebut.
Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan
menganalisis Pengaruh Penerapan Prinsip-Prinsip Good Governance Terhadap
Kepuasan Kerja Pegawai di Kantor Bupati Dairi Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan
bentuk penelitian metode penelitian kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data
primer dan data sekunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan data penelitian selama 3
bulan dan penentuan hipotesis yang merupakan pernyataan yang bersifat
sementara mengenai dua variabel. Pengolahan analisis data menggunakan
software pengolahan data statistik yaitu SPSS 20 for windows yang data
sebelumnya ordinal dirubah menjadi data interval dengan program Metode
Successive Interval (MSI).
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan analisis data linear
sederhana terdapat koefisien regresi variabel Good Governance sebesar 0,630 ;
artinya setiap penambahan 1 nilai Good Governance (X), maka Kepuasan Kerja
(Y) akan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,630. Pengaruh Good Governance

terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Pegawai di Kantor Bupati Dairi Provinsi Sumatera
Utara berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis pada responden adalah 0,630. Signifikan
korelasi diketahui lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) yang menunjukkan kedua
variabel berkorelasi secara signifikan.

ABSTRACT

Good Governance is the process of organization of state power in
implementing the provision of public goods and service called governance
(government / governance) while the best practice is '' good governance '' (good
governance). Good governance is applied within an institution will ultimately
affect job satisfaction. For that good governance adopted by the organization is a
factor that is very important and needs to be implemented properly so that the job
satisfaction of employees in their duties towards the organization can further
grow. Implementation of good governance by Local Governments organization
will be optimal achievement when each organization / agency attention to the
satisfaction of its employees in order to implement the principles of good
governance such.
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the Effect of
Application of the Principles of Good Governance Employee Job Satisfaction in
Regent Office Dairi North Sumatra province in the form of quantitative research
methods research. The data used are primary data and secondary data. This study

uses research data for 3 months and the determination of the hypothesis that a
tentative statement about the two variables. Processing data analysis using
statistical data processing software SPSS 20 for windows that the previous data is
converted into ordinal interval data by program Method of Successive Interval
(MSI).
Based on the results of data analysis using simple linear data analysis are
variable regression coefficient of 0.630 Good Governance; meaning that each
additional 1 value of Good Governance (X), then the Job Satisfaction (Y) will
increase by 0.630. Effect of Good Governance for Employee Job Satisfaction in
Regent Office Dairi North Sumatra province based on the results of hypothesis
testing on the respondent is 0.630. Significant correlations are known to be less
