G. The Impacts of Gangs on Society
1. Society
Based on interview with school counselors and societies around school, it is stated that gangs has negative impacts on society. For instance, when they were
on gang-fight, there were a lot of losses society experienced such as broken mirror, damaged car, suffered kids, and lost domestic stuffs. From this evidence,
students should have been aware that they must have been responsible to what they already did but in fact they, as next generation, just ignored and let it as
nothing happened. After going from school, for instance, the societies around school reported
that group of students often made noise by shouting and playing fireworks which made their kids awake up from their sleeping and cry, kicked bottles alongside the
street as they were balls which sometimes hit windows and broke them, and scrawled unexpected and improper pictures on societies’ house wall and public
building. It means they didn’t not attend to clean and beautiful environment. To overcome the delinquency caused by gang or gang members, which
sometimes causes tension among society, society should do the following actions recommended by Daniel Katkin and friends in their book “Delinquency and the
Juvenile Court System ”.

4. Report the incident to other community agencies

2. Gang Members’ Family
As reported by societies, after schooling, they sometimes hung out around at food stall by playing guitar, playing card or chess and smoking. Those behaviors
didn’t entitle them as students. It was kind of moral decline— Students shouldn’t have smoked or played around because their parents were probably worried and
absolutely shocked if they knew that their children didn’t go home directly because of hanging out and wasting the money they give by purchasing cigarettes
after schooling. In this term, every parent may be concerned and get tense if something
happens to hisher children. In gang-fight, as furqon’s case mentioned in the background of this study for instance, family would be in sadness and sorrow
after knowing something happened to their children whom they knew that they were studying at school.
