But some other activities deliberate students to do the activities with their groups or even individually. d. Let’s Review In final section, there are some assignments to do. Here, the teacher allows students to share their understanding concerning the topic and video also activities they have learned. CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

This is the final chapter of the study. There are two sections will be discussed. First, conclusions of overall thesis on designing materials using videos for the fifth grade students in the language laboratory of SD Tarakanita Magelang. Second, some suggestions dedicate to English teachers and future researchers.

A. Conclusions

Few conclusions were drawn regarding this study based on the discussions and research findings. First, this study modified Kemp and Yalden’ model as the steps in designing the material for fifth grade students. The writer developed eight steps from both instructional design models. They are conducting needs survey, stating instructional goals and topics, establishing learning indicators, listing the subject content, designing material, selecting teaching learning activities, evaluating and revising design material. However, the writer did not include all steps. The step in which require the researchers to implement the design was not included. English materials were designed based on the Communicative Approach. Thus, videos become the main materials. The needs survey was conducted by interviewing the elementary school English teacher. The material was designed
