Table 4.13 shows that nouns mastered 75 are 11 words or 3.28 of 335 nouns tested. It means that 75 of the respondents are able to know the nouns and
meanings well. Verbs mastered 75 are 10 words and in the form of percentage, it is 8.13 of 123 verbs in the vocabulary tests. In other words, it can be said that
75 of the respondents are able to master 10 verbs. The adjectives mastered 75 is 3.33 of 120 adjectives in the vocabulary
tests, i.e. 4 words. It shows that there are only a few of adjectives mastered by the twelve grade students. According to the table, there is an adverb mastered 75 by
the twelve grade students. On the other hand, 75 respondents in this research are only able to master an adverb and the others are not able to master the word.
4.1.2.2.7 Academic words mastered 70 by the twelve grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari
This section discusses the academic words mastered 70 by the twelve grade students. Seventy percent mastery means that most of the students are able
to master the words well. Table 4.14 presents the students’ mastery of academic words based on the lexical category.

According to the table, there are only a few of nouns mastered 70 by the twelve grade students, i.e. 5 of 335 nouns. If it is in the form of percentage, the
percentage is 1.49. It means that most of the students are able to master those words. The students’ mastery of verb based on the percentage is not good. There
is only a verb that can be mastered 70 by the students. In the form of percentage, it is 0.81 of 123 verbs. It shows most of the students are able to
master a verb and it is sought. The number of adjective mastered 70 by the students is only 1 or 0.83
of 120 adjectives. It means that most of the students are able to master an adjective, i.e. adequate. Based on the table, the students are able to master an
adverb too. There is only 1 of 19 adverbs mastered 70 by the twelve grade students. It means that the students’ mastery of adverb is not good because there is
only an adverb mastered by most of the students who are taken as the samples of this research.
