The range score of each component was 1-20. Therefore, the maximum score for each student was 100. The test result was by adding the score in each
component. The application of the scoring system was based on the condition and ability of students.
3.5.2 Classifying the Scores
The scores were converted into numerical data. There are five items and each item is scored 20, so the maximum score is 100. In classifying score, the writer used
the measurement students‟ achievement suggested by Harris 1969: 134.

3.5.3 Criterion of Assessment
The students‟ success and failure in doing the activities planned above were measured by referring to the criterion issued by the Department of Education and
Culture. To find the d egree of students‟ achievement in each activity, the score of
average student is counted by using the following formula:

In analyzing questionnaire the writer took some steps. 1

3.5.5 Method of Analyzing Field Notes
From the field notes, the writer tried to describe and analyzed the condition during the action research process. It would be explained clearly based on the aspects
which the writer used in making the field notes.
