3. Respondents’ Comments and Suggestions on the Designed Set of Materials
Besides evaluating the design set of materials, the respondents also gave their comments and suggestions which were very helpful to improve and make
the final version of the materials. The detail comments and suggestions from the respondents would be described as follows.
Basically, all respondents agreed that the designed materials were good, well developed, well designed and interesting. One of the respondents said that

the idea of presenting novel s as the source of our authentic learning materials is interesting. The students will be exposed to the “real” style of English language.
In addition, there were also some points should be considered by the writer due to the designed materials’ performance. For instance, the syllabus and
lesson plan’s format are “unusual”, the time allotment is strange, make an instruction as clear as possible, avoid any irrelevant activity that is not suitable
with the goal s, the activities tend to be monotonous, some grammatical mistakes, and think of giving some pictures or images to make the materials more
interesting. Therefore, to improve the designed materials, the respondents gave some
suggestions as follows: 1 Revise the format syllabus and lesson plan into the KTSP format
Some respondents said that the syllabus and lesson plan have to follow with KTSP format.
2 Check time allocation Due to the limited and inappropriate time allocated for each unit, the time
allocation had to be managed better. 3 Give the clear instructions
Give clear instruction and explanation before doing the tasks. 4 Avoid any irrelevant activity that is not suitable with the goal s.
Change the irrelevant option on the task with the relevant one, based on the study.
