Related to the sample above, the students put the verb+ing in the wrong order. Although, it is preceded by possesive but the sentence
structure is not correct and the verb+ing must not appear there. I think this error occur because the students do not know how to use gerund after
possesive.

Shopping becomes one of the citizen’s lifestyle, especially the
women come from high class
Related to the sample above, the students put the verb+ing in the wrong order. It is because
the verb+ing “coming” is not preceded by a possesive but by a subject pronoun. A subject must be followed by a verb
directly. I think this error occurs because the students do not know how to use gerund after possesive.

they win the game. There is no assuming that they win
the game.
Related to the sample, the error occurs because the students used the wrong verb+ing form. T
he students used “assumtion” instead of “assuming”. It is because they think that “assumtion” is the noun form of
“assume”. The position of “assume” that is after adverb “not” make “assume” become verbal noun by adding the suffix “ing”. It is as a prove
that the students do not understand the use of gerund well.
