From the above adjacency pair, it can be seen that the first part is an offer. The Nurse offers information about Romeo. She says that the person Juliet danced
with is Romeo, the son of Montague family, the greatest enemy of Capulet family. In the second part of the adjacency pair, Juliet responds it to the Nurse by blaming
herself. She regrets that she falls in love to a person without knowing who he is and it turns out the man is Romeo from Montague family. From the analysis, it
can be said that the above adjacency pair contains a response to the offer. Another example of adjacency pair that has a response to an offer is as follows.

LADY CAPULET: Find out the way, and I’ll find the right man. But now I have joyful news for you, girl.
JULIET : And it’s good to have joy in such a joyless time.
What’s the news? Please tell me. P

APACT-3S5P5O-AR+OI The above conversation contains two parts. The first part is an offer from
lady Capulet to Juliet. Lady Capulet offers good news for cheering up Juliet. Lady Capulet says “But now I have joyful news for you, girl”. In the second part of the
conversation, Juliet responds cheerfully to the offer and she is too eager to know the news as soon as possible. From the analysis, it can be seen that the adjacency
pair above contains a response to the offer.

CHAPTER V CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
This chapter is divided into two main sections: conclusion and suggestion. Those sections are presented as follows.
A. Conclusion
After the researcher has conducted the study, some conclusions are drawn. The conclusions are the answer of the problems as stated in Chapter I. Based on
the study of the adjacency pairs in Romeo and Juliet movie, three conclusions are presented below.
The first conclusion is the answer of the first problem related to nine types of adjacency pairs, namely 1 greeting-greeting GG, 2 question-answer QA,
3 request-refusalaccept R-FA, 4 command complianceincompliance C-CI, 5 blameaccusation-admissiondenial BA-AD, 6 offer-acceptrefusal O-AR,
7 assertion-agreementdisagreement A-AD, 8 summon-answer S-A, and 9 farewell-farewell F-F. From the nine types of adjacency pairs mentioned above,
the most often occurring adjacency pair is question-answer that is performed 22 times or 22, followed by assertion-agreementdisagreement with 20 occurrences
or 20. The request-refusalaccept adjacency pair is in the third rank with 17 occurrences or 17 and command-complianceincompliance in the fourth place
with 11 occurrences or 11. The blameaccusation-admissiondenial adjacency pair is in the fifth position with 9 occurrences or 9 times and farewell-farewell
adjacency pair is in the sixth place with 8 occurrences or 8. Offer-acceptrefusal is in the seventh position with 6 occurrences or 6 and summon-answer is in the
eighth position with 4 occurrences or 4. The adjacency pair with the smallest occurrences is greeting-greeting with only 3 occurrences or 3 of the total
occurrences. Secondly, from 100 occurences in the movie, it can be concluded that there are 72 occurrences of preferred social acts and 28 occurrences of
dispreferred social acts. Thirdly, there are four types of response found in the movie, namely
responding to statement, to question, to request, and to an offer and an invitation. The other two types of response, namely responding to apology and responding to
thank, do not occur in the movie. The study shows that the response to statement dominates the frequency of the occurrences with 36 times of occurences followed
by responding to a request which occurs 28 times. In addition, question appears 21 times, while offer and invitation occur 15 times.
From the explanation above, it can be concluded that from 100 adjacency pairs in Romeo and Juliet movie script, there are nine types of adjacency pairs and
72 occurrences of preferred social acts and 28 occurrences of dispreferred social acts. The responses of 100 adjacency pairs are divided into four types: responding
to request, offer and invitation, statement, and question.
