However, he does not get anything. The investment is a lie of the saleswoman. He lets that woman take his money away. He cannot do anything and cannot bring his money back. Chick finally gets divorced from his wife. In resolving the divorce conflict, Chick uses accommodation to solve this conflict. He finally agrees to have divorce although he does not want it. He lets his marriage collapse and lets his wife go away from him although Chick actually does not want it. He wants to defend his marriage but he cannot. Many problems that he gets make him live in a deep sorrow. He feels he cannot hold his problems anymore. Therefore, he wants to end his life. He thinks that by ending his life, he will not have many confusing problems. In resolving the suicide conflict, Chick uses avoiding types. He does not discuss this conflict with anybody else, but he only keeps this problem by himself. Finally, he avoids having suicide. When Chick meets his mother, he feels awkward. It is because he meets his dead mother. His mother asks him to stay. However, he is confused to make a decision. He uses avoiding type to solve the conflict about his mother’s request. He does not discuss it anymore. He changes the topic and avoids discussing his mother’s request. 46 Chick’ mother also changes the topic. She does not ask the detail. However, she scoops eggs from pan and asks Chick to eat. They do not discuss it anymore. Chick’s parents’ divorce really affects him. He is sad about this. He wants to cry but he cannot. He remembers his father’s saying that boy should not cry. In resolving this conflict, Chick uses accommodation type. He does not cry because he respects his father. He follows his father’s saying. However, he really wants to cry. He lets himself sacrifice his will. Chick’s father’s calling makes him confused. Chick wants to stay in his mother’s birthday party, but his father asks him to go to a baseball game. He is in a dilemma. In resolving it, Chick uses accommodation type. He sacrifices his willing to stay and decides to go to the game. He also sacrifices his mother’s feeling. His mother is disappointed with his leaving. Thus, he lets his father win the conflict. He finally goes to the baseball game.
