internal control to inancial reporting on December 31, 2012 by using the criteria in the “Standard and Practice
Standard for Management Assessment and Audit concerning Internal Control Over Financial Reporting”
issued by the Business Accounting Council of Japan in relation with the J-SOX requirements imposed by the
Financial Instruments and Exchange Law of Japan. These rules regulate the Company’s obligation to evaluate the
efectiveness of internal control system to the Company, which includes that of Mandom Corporation, Japan,
listed in the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and its Mandom’s subsidiaries. Based on the results of this evaluation, the
Management concludes on December 31, 2012 that internal control of the Company’s inancial reporting is
efective.
BUSINESS RISKS
The Company is aware of the need to control the various risks that have the potential of threatening the business
sustainability of the Company. Therefore, the Company makes an efort to identify and enumerate the steps required to
mitigate these risks. Of the various risks identiied, in 2012 the Company prioritizes those relating to the following issues:
1. Risk of Raw Material Availability
Learning from the post-quake condition of Japan in early 2011, which causes disturbance to the supply of several
types of materials, the Company became more sharply aware of the need of having a chain of supply that is not
dependent on a single party. Therefore, the Company applies the policy of multi-company suppliers for raw
materials of products with a high level of growth, and slowly built a more stable chain of raw material supply.
2. Risk of Natural Disaster
The Company is aware that natural disasters in certain scales have the potential of threatening business
sustainability. Therefore, the Company spends eforts to create a more systematic procedure of mitigation
by forming a special disaster team. This team acts as coordinator when disasters such as loods and ires occur.

Control Over Financial Reporting” yang diterbitkan oleh Business Accounting Council of Japan sehubungan
dengan persyaratan J-SOX yang diwajibkan oleh Financial Instruments and Exchange Law of Japan. Ketentuan
ini mengatur kewajiban Perusahaan untuk melakukan penilaian atas efektiitas sistem pengendalian internal
bagi perusahaan termasuk Mandom Corporation, Jepang yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Tokyo, dan juga berlaku
untuk anak perusahaannya. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian ini, manajemen menyimpulkan bahwa pada tanggal 31
Desember 2012, pengendalian internal atas pelaporan keuangan Perseroan telah efektif.
RISIKO USAHA
Perseroan menyadari tentang perlunya melakukan pengendalian terhadap berbagai resiko yang berpotensi
mengancam kelangsungan bisnis Perseroan. Oleh karena itu, Perseroan berusaha melakukan identiikasi dan menyusun
langkah-langkah untuk menangani resiko-resiko tersebut. Dari beberapa resiko yang teridentiikasi, pada tahun 2012,
Perseroan memprioritaskan yang berhubungan dengan hal di bawah ini.
1. Risiko Ketersediaan Bahan Baku
Dengan belajar dari kondisi pasca gempa Jepang pada awal tahun 2011 yang menyebabkan terganggunya
pasokan beberapa jenis bahan baku, Perseroan semakin menyadari tentang perlunya memiliki rantai pasokan yang
tidak bergantung pada pihak tertentu saja. Oleh karena itu, Perseroan memberlakukan kebijakan pemasok multi
perusahaan untuk bahan baku produk dengan tingkat kebutuhan yang tinggi dan secara perlahan membangun
rantai pasokan bahan baku yang lebih stabil.
2. Risiko Bencana Alam
Perseroan menyadari bahwa bencana alam dalam skala tertentu dapat berpotensi mengancam kelangsungan
bisnis. Oleh karena itu, Perseroan berusaha menyusun kegiatan penanganan yang lebih sistematis dengan
membentuk tim khusus bencana. Tim tersebut bertindak sebagai koordinator ketika bencana seperti banjir dan
kebakaran terjadi.
