Although the soda-water is heavy, Amelia Jane is still eager to steal and
use it to trick the toys.

The very next night Amelia Jane took off her shoes because she said her feet
were hot. She put the shoes into a corner
and then danced round the nursery in her stockinged feet, enjoying herself.
Amelia Jane knows that she needs to put off her shoes if she does not feel
comfortable.
